Abstract
This study aimed to contribute knowledge and useful information for the Filipino teachers who teaches literature specifically poems and short stories

It answered the questions:

First what topics in Ibong Adarna that may be subjected for the use of tool kit. Second based on the identified topics, what tool kit maybe developed. Third how acceptable is the developed tool kits based on the LRMDS Assessment.

Fourth what is the per-test and post-test mean score Filth is there a significant different between the pre-test and post-test mean score and sixth how may the finding of the study maybe use as input for the enhancement of the developed tool kit.

The technique used was the descriptive and experimental research with the developed tool it was also used the pre-test to determine the prior knowledge of the student then followed by the post-test to determine the new knowledge acquired after the use of developed tool kit. There were 200 students from four grade 7 section at Tala High School within the fourth.
quarter, from January to February 2019 the lesson is consisted of 1 chapter with 11 parts of lessons from Aralin 1 to Aralin 11. The identified topics subjective for the use of developed tool kit was Aralin1 Ang Mag anak ni Haring Femando obtained the first rank which is considered the most difficult lesson, the content of the lesson was the role of its member of the family and how to give respect to each other based on the rank position of its member. It included the comparison of its character to real person of its community.

The tool kit developed was the called Strategic Intervention materials The Instructional material are consisted of the gabay card where the content are followed Introduced by the famous Filipino characters from tv or fantasy heroes, it serve as the host where they are explaining the content of the kit and what are the different activities are going to accomplished during the time of application. Based on the evaluation of the LRMDS with the used the criteria set by the Department of Education the tool kit found very satisfactory. After the pre-test mean score found below level of learners mastery of the lesson, the tool kit called SIM is applied as part of remedial and after post-test mean score found better and the student performance becomes better...
