It is an active meaningful process, Through, reading, the child's imaginative awareness of his own experience is seen through the eye of a gifted writer, as he makes an effort to create his own experience for others through the power of well chosen words. Through reading, he can revise or can reinforce his own opinions and attitudes, he can deepen and extend his interests and add much pleasure to enrichment of life because this is true, and the child who falls to comprehend what the writers wishes to covey is not reading.
