Abstract
This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of using strategic intervention materials (SIM) in Science from Grades III-VI Pupils in Tanque District based on the status of Science III-VI teaching.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: (1) profile of the teacher respondents in terms of age, gender, marital status, educational attainment and length of service, (2) effective use of strategic intervention materials in teaching Science III-VI pupils, (3) Significant relationship between the effectiveness of SIM and the academic performance of pupils, (4) problems encountered by the teacher respondents in preparation of strategic intervention materials (6) solutions proposed by the teachers to address the problems encountered in presentation of SIM. The null hypothesis is that there are no significant differences among the effectiveness of the strategic intervention materials and academic performance of pupils

This study made use of the descriptive evaluative developmental method of investigation using questionnaires to gather the needed data Descriptive research describes what it involves the description recording analysis and This study is also developmental type because it developed an interpretation of condition that exist. instructional material in Science II-VI that focuses on the areas/competencies wherein objectives were not attained. It consists of learning competencies/skills and set of activities for self-practice. It has the following part: Guide Card, Activity Card, Assessment Card, Enrichment Card and Reinforcement Card. This study involved one set of respondents: those who assessed the status of Science Instruction III-VI. Those who assessed the status of Science instruction were the one hundred (100) Science teachers of selected elementary schools of Tanque District Division of Caloocan City A questionnaire checklist was made by the researcher based from the K- 12 Curriculum Guide to establish the Status of Science Instruction along the attainment of objectives.

The data gathered were recorded, tabulated, analyzed and interpreted through the use of statistical tools, percentage frequency distribution, weighted mean and descriptive ratings, ranking, one-way analysis of variance or z-test.
