Abstract
Parents have a great responsibility in molding their children to be productive, law-abiding and God fearing. The future of an individual partly depends upon how he was reared by his parents. But despite this facts, the present economic crisis have forced some parents to work abroad to seek for greener pasture, so to speak, to the extent of leaving their families. In this point of view, this study identified the behavior and problems of the intermediate pupils with Overseas Filipino Worker- Parents and its effect to their behavior. It aimed to help these children cope up with reality. Specifically, this research work answered the following

1. What is the profile of the pupil - respondents in terms of

1.2 gender

1.3 grade level

1.4 combined income of parents

1.5 dwelling status

1.6 residence status

1.7 relation to OFW-parents

1.8 place where OFW - parent work

1.10 number of years of parents working

abroad

2. What is the profile of the teacher - respondent in terms of

2.1 age

2.2 gender

2.3 civil status

2.4 educational attainment

2.5 length of years in teaching

2.6 seminars/in-service training attended

3. What behavior are manifested by the pupils toward:

3.1 self

3.2 their teacher and school personnel

3.3 classmates and friends

3.4 school lessons/school activities

4. What problems are being encountered by the pupils whose

parents are on overseas employment in terms of

4.1 physical stability

4.2 intelligence

4.3 financial matter

4.4 emotional stability

4.5 social adjustment

5. Is there a significant difference between the perception of the teacher-respondents and the pupil-respondents?
