This investigation was designed to gather information from the pupils through Administering a Reading test, questionnaires to teachers and other documented reports from the office of the school Principal of Caybiga Elementary School. The results of the test revealed the strengths and weaknesses of the pupils in the ten reading skills. Noted weaknesses of these pupils provided the researcher needed information in the preparation of a program for remediation. 7. Statement of the Problem
Specifically the study is concerned in answering the following questions. a. What is the profile of the Grade six pupils of Caybiga Elementary School as to:
a. age
b. sex
b. What is the profile of the reading teacher as to sex, teaching experience,
teaching position and educational attainment? c. What is the mastery level of Grade Six pupils of Caybiga Elementary School
in the ten reading skills base on the Reading test?
