Abstract
Result-based performance management system (RPMS) is a deped contextualized strategic performance management system to ensure that employees focus their work efforts towards achieving DepEd Vision ,Mission, Value and strategic priorities. The aim of the study was to assess the result based performance management system in the teachers of public elementary schools in caloocan north 1 district and its significant difference across selected variables. Respondents of the study were the 272 public elementary school teachers during the second semester of school year 2017-2018. Descriptive research method was used and survey questionnaire was the instrument used in collecting data. The result showed the different perspectives and views of the respondents. The respondents disagreed on the competencies of RPMS while the respondents moderately agreed on the commitment of the teachers. On the other hand, teachers aslo agreed that the RPMS serves as basis for their training and development and at the same time, rewards and incentives are essential for them to be motivated and to improve their performance. There were also significant differences on the perception between employees on Performance Management System when grouped according to their profile and where agreement exists; it is not associated with superior outcomes because of lack of the clarity in the existing system.
