Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to find out the historical development of the camarin high school and its role to the socio-economic development of the camarin area.
Specifically, the study sought to answer the following questions:
1. What is the status of camarin high school from 1967-2003 as to the following:
1.1 Origin;
1.2 School plant and facilities;
1.3 Student population;
1.4 School personnel;
1.5 School administrators;
1.6 Community people and the barangay officials; and
1.7 Various organizations for student development?
2. What is the profile of the three groups of resident respondents of the camarin community in terms of the following variables:
2.1 Teachers;
2.1.1 age;
2.1.2 gender;
2.1.3 educational attainment;
2.1.4 religious affiliation;
2.2 Students;
2.2.1 gender;
2.2.2 age;
2.2.3 religious affiliation;
2.3 Parents;
2.3.1 gender;
2.3.2 relation to the student;
2.3.3 age;
2.3.4 educational attainment; and
2.3.5 religious affiliation?
3.What is the extent of services given by Camarin High School to the students as perceived by the three groups of resident-respondents?
3.1 Is there a significant difference in the extent of services given by the Camarin High School to the students as perceived by the three groups of residents-respondents?
4. What is the socio-economic condition of the residents of the camarin area as perceived by the resident respondents?
5. What is the role of Camarin High School that helps in the socio-economic development of the residents of the camarin area?
6. How do the three groups of resident-respondents differ in their agreement regarding the role of Camarin High School in the socio-conomic development of the camarin area?
