Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the parental participation of co curricular activities and its effect on pupils academic performance. This study provided answers to the following questions: What is the level of participation of the respondents in co-curricular activities as perceived by the teachers in terms of financial support, attendance and involvement; What is the academic performance of pupils based on their report card; Is there a significant difference on the relationships between the academic performance of pupils and the level of participation of parents in co-curricular activities; What problems encountered by the parents in their involvement in co- curricular activities; What action plan may be designed to strengthen parents' involvement in school activities?

This study employed a descriptive correlational quantitative design The quantitative research method will be used to describe the extent of parental involvement in curricular and co-curricular activities. It used a survey questionnaire to elicit answer of the study.

This study was conducted at MLQ Elementary School. It involved 45 parents from each grade level. They were randomly selected to participate in the study. Fifteen teachers from the different grade levels also participated in the study. It has a total of 350 respondents. This was conducted during the school year 2017-2018.

The researcher used researcher-made instruments. It will consists of different parts. For the parents, they will be given a checklist for their involvement in curricular and co-curricular activities. Teachers also answered the survey questionnaire.

Based from the following findings, the following conclusions were the over - all description of the level of participation of the respondent in co-curricular activities as perceived by the teacher in terms of financial, attendance and involvement fall under moderate description. It is a good indicator that parents do their parts and participate actively with the different activities of the school. The general weighted average of the three grading periods of the pupil both from primary and intermediate level show a very nice result. A good indication that students are performing well in their classes. The null hypothesis is accepted because the computed chi-square value 3.129 is less than the tabular value 15.52 at 0.05 level of significance with a degrees of freedom 8 using frequency count.
