Abstract
Effective teachers possess specific qualities that help pupils achieve greater results. The qualities of effective teachers include being equipped with instructional skills to overcome many difficulties when exploring the field of education. A teacher must possess a pro-active mind set in handling pupils and their needs. It is also the role of the teacher to discern the potentials and strengths of each pupil so as to provide the appropriate approach, all leading toward a holistically-developed Filipino. In attaining this goal, the Researcher wants to point out in particular the importance of Differentiated Instructional Activities in enhancing the teaching styles, approaches in teaching the Filipino subject and using the Differentiated Instructional Activities in aid of instruction.

Likewise, this teaching methodology has also addressed the problem on keeping the learners' interest in the lessons.

The Researcher used demonstration teaching method where lessons in Filipino subject were taught using differentiated instruction. The respondents of this study were the 16 teachers of Filipino at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School, Caloocan North District III, Caloocan City. As regards the summary of pupils' formative and summative evaluation using differentiated instructional activities, the findings implied that there was a positive significant difference. In all the assessments conducted, the study revealed that the respondents rated the differentiated instructional activities are effective in teaching Filipino subject.

Based on the findings through the utilization of differentiated instructional activities in Filipino 1, Role Playing, Writing Activity, Completing Puzzle were developed as proposed activities for the most effective differentiated instructional activities. It was recommended that the teachers should put emphasis on the enhancement of teaching with the use of differentiated instructional activities because it helps to bring out what are the best for the pupils, engage with upgraded learning styles and develop multiple intelligences. Differentiated instructional activities should be exercised and always present in every classroom condition to ensure that individual differences will be captured and mainstream expected competencies among learners.
