Abstract
Teaching pupils to read was arguably the most important aspect of primary education, enabling children to gain insight into the powerful world of imagination and access to the full National Curriculum. Success in reading were a direct effect on the progress made in most areas of the curriculum, therefore it is crucial that we help children to develop their independence, self-confidence and motivation in reading. Aim to create "readers for life" - children who develop love of books, who enjoy reading and read for pleasure.

Reading is a tool subject, teachers aim to cultivate successful, confident readers who are equipped with a range of strategies in decoding printed materials and interpret a wide variety of texts independently. To help every child to become a "reader for life" and Enable children to read fluently and with expression.

Reading is considered an integral part of every man's every activities, it is an important skill that a learner has to develop to succeed in his chosen field of endeavor. It is a corner stone of child's success in school and indeed throughout life.

Utilization of Dolch's Basic Sight Words (DBSW) in Teaching Reading for grade two in Grace Park Elementary School, Caloocan City and give appropriate recommendation for the enhanced reading materials. Specifically, it will answer.

The level of reading performance of Grade (2) two Pupils based on the Phil - IRI? Pre-test and Post-test; The level of reading performance of Grade Two pupils after the utilization of the enhancement materials on teaching of DOLCH; A significant difference in the reading performance of the pupils respondents after the use of the enhancing materials; The comments of Grade Two teachers on the developed enhancement materials; DOLCH enhanced materials may be develop base on the findings of the study:

The level of Reading Performance of Grade Two Pupils based on the PHIL-IRI before and after reading that there are more male with the frequency of 20 that are fast reader and 2 in female. The average readers for both male and female have a frequency of .69 and there is no identified non-reader.

It was found out that the level of Reading Performance of Grade Two Pupils based on the PHIL-IRI before and after reading in pre-test and post- test.

In the Pre-test there are slow readers, 15 male pupils and 14 female pupils. In the post-test there are most average readers in male and female, the total number of students in posttest are 18 and 13, male and female respectively.

There are identified slow learners in Grade Two after the post test. There should be an immediate action or response by their teachers and parents and the school as a whole. If the problem will be ignored, it will greatly affect the performance of the future of the pupils. If the child couldn't read it may also means that the child has no comprehension. Indeed, the cooperation and support coming from the parents, teachers and school are important to help improve the reaching performance of the pupils and prepare the, to a better future.

A significant differences in the pre-test and post-test prove that the mean in post-test showed improvement over the mean in the pre-test. It implies that the respondents were able to statistically perform better after implementation of DBSW teaching reading materials. Revealed that the developed teaching reading materials followed

smart.

Utilize the reading material developed by the researcher to help enhance the reading skills of the non-reader pupils or the beginning readers. Extend reading programs for those pupils who are identified as slow learners after the post assessment. This is to further assist them to overcome. Parents should always be the number one supporter of their children. They need to give their time, attention, and patience just to guide and help their children on their difficult stage of learning. It is also important that parents should cooperate with the teachers in helping the children acquire or develop their reading skills and good study habits. A follow-up study may be conducted to evaluate the remedial reading instruction in the Caloocan City to find out any major changes or progress.
