Abstract
Teachers are considered as second parents in school. They are also expected to inculcate values and morals to learners aside from academic aspects. Teachers must develop the core values such as Maka Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan at Makabansa in learners.
The researcher wanted to find out the different positive practices of teachers of Camarin D Elementary School that was why this study was conducted. The use of positive discipline practices among teachers likewise shows significant results in terms of area of specialization and rank and designations.
Teacher-respondents showed that they were truly positive on the five criteria such as sense of belongingness and significance, kindness and firmness; effectiveness; personal power and autonomy and social life skills.
Disruptive behaviour were the most challenging attitude of learners. Trainings for pupils, teachers and parents were encouraged to fully understand what positive discipline is all about, how it is to be implemented and the effect of it in the long term for the learners.
To gather data, the researcher used survey questionnaire anchored to the DepEd's Primer in Positive Discipline. The respondents of this study were selected teachers of Camarin D Elementary School.
