Abstract
School principals face serious challenges to their positions in the Philippine educational system. Teachers may differ in their expectations of the principal's roles; parents may misconceive it; school division offices may disagree with it; and general criticism may undermine it. Because o this challenges, conflicts may arise where school resources, time, funds, mental and emotional energy are inordinately taxed and diverted to resolve conflicts. These conflicts as such,. however, is not necessary detrimental to the school. The proper management of conflict will change the school into better tracking-learning environment. To be able to direct, guide and lead. In line with the functions o a supervisor of "watching", he must know what is going on, who is doing what, and what the working conditions are. This makes the task of the principal botch challenging and frustrating because of the number and variety of problems and the suddenness which with they emerge and become critical. Successful leader is one who handles leadership demands, behaves approximately in the light of demands and pressures. He is able to direct, control and manages people and situations under his charge, Unfortunately , not all leaders could handle such tasks effectively. While most posses leadership abilities, such as competence, skills, educational qualifications, commitment, and pleasing personality traits, they could not stand the pressure of crises of conflicts.

Conflict pervade the Filipino culture, not excluding the educational sector. The "walang bigayan, walang lamangan" mentality of Filipino often leads to conflict on professional making and title, merit pay, honors and performances rating. The " atin-inyo" or we-they syndrome among teachers, administrators and non-teaching personnel also leads to conflict between factions, departments, and colleges within educational organization. This is the rational of this study. It aimed to make an in-depth analysis on the capability of leaders to manage organizational conflicts in the hope to gather benchmark data that could serve as guide in the enhancement of conflict or crises management.
