Abstract
The fluency of English in students' composition writing in most public schools has consistently been a problem in English instruction. In the Philippines, gone are the days when a secondary student could write well (nor speak well) using the English language. Yet, the current trends in technology and the well-accepted concept of globalization make it imperative for every before. Thus, this researcher came up with the idea of finding out
the common errors of students in composition writing and from there identify the better way of making these learners learn English

This study focused on the common errors of students in composition writing using the English language as a medium of expression. Specifically, the study answered the questions on a) the profile of the respondents student-respondents and teacher-respondents, b) the common errors in composition writing of students in each year level.

The study also included the assessment of teachers on the difficulties of the students in writing composition and the factors that affect the language proficiency of the students.

The results of the study, however, were made as bases of the researcher in designing a comprehensive faculty development program
