Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of career orientation on the career preferences of the grade 10 students of San Jose High School, Manila. This study involved the use of survey questionnaire administered before and after the conduct of the career orientation to identify their preferred tracks to take under the K-12 curriculum program. An unstructured interview is also utilized to further substantiate quantitative findings and aid in the formulation of the interpretations and conclusions for the study. No significant difference was found in the preferences of the students in their preferred tracks as well as their preferred jobs after the conduct of the career orientation. However, it was revealed and confirmed by the respondents themselves that the career orientation was very instrumental on their recognition of the strengths and capabilities that can be used and will be beneficial in taking the track after the senior high school
