Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to determine the impact of Multi-media

to the academic performance of kindergarten pupils which involve the cognitive domain based on ECCD Checklist, in Camarin D Elementary School. This study can be helpful in a way that it can contribute to improve the academic performance of kindergarten using multi-media.

Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: 1) What is the extent of multi-media exposures of Kindergarten pupils as assessed by the parents in the following: Television shows, gadgets, and social media, 2) What is the academic performance of kindergarten pupils in cognitive domain based on pre and post ECCD checklist, 3) Is there a significant relationship on the extent of multi-media exposure and the academic performance of kinder pupils?, 4) How may the findings of the study be utilized in proposing parental guidance on the responsible use of multi-media?

This study was delimited to using the result of posttest of the ECCD checklist in comparison with the pretest. The area of focus is in school. The researcher used the following instruments; survey questionnaire for the parent respondents to determine the extent of multi-media to the pupils at home. The study used the descriptive method of research.

The study generated the following findings: 1) On the extent of multi- media exposure of kinder pupils as assess by the parents, the Educational tv shows, use of cellphones, and the viewing videos in youtube were the most viewed and used among the other multi-media. 2) Based on the result of the Pretest and Posttest of cognitive domain in ECCD checklist of the pupils, the researcher found out that multi-media could be one of the factors for the pupils to help them in their Academic Performance. The mean score of the pupils was higher in the posttest than in the prettest with a difference of 4.4. 3) There was a significant relationship between the multimedia and the academic performance of kindergarten pupils. 4). The parents must be responsible for their children in using multi-media with strict guidance.

In the light of the findings of the study, the conclusions were arrived at: 1) The children nowadays especially the kindergarten at their very young age are already expose in multi-media. They can easily learn things when there are contents like audios, videos, animations, and moving images. 2) Based on the pre and post ECCD checklist of the pupils, children are already exposed in multi-media and it helped them in their academic performance. 3) There is a significant relationship between the multi-media exposure and the academic performance of the kinder pupils. 4) The researcher will propose a design program for parental guidance in using multi-media.

For the findings and conclusions arrived at, the following recommendations were given: 1) A proper use and a minimum time to be spend in using multi-media. The use of multi-media must be strictly monitored, controlled and assisted by their parents. 2). Teachers should adopt latest educational technologies in order to reach the 21st century learning standard. 3) A proper orientation on the use of multi-media to the parents. 4). School administration should provide continuous trainings for their teachers in the effective use of different multi-media in teaching.
