Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to assess the extent of the school feeding program of Llano Elementary School and nutritional status of learners. The respondents of this study consisted of 60 beneficiaries of supplementary feeding learners in Llano Elementary School. Schools are the best places to implement solutions to eliminate undernourished children, since children spent, most of their time in school than at home. Thus, the need for a study to find out the significance relationship of the foods they served at school feeding program and their nutritional status at the beginning and on the mid-year end.

The researcher utilized the descriptive method. A presented and elaborated by the Best and Khan (2003). It is the use of a survey or an assessment approach for the purpose of collecting information.
Specifically, it sought answers to the following questions: What are the foods being served on the feeding program in terms of the nutritional content (Vegetables, Fruits, Meat and Drink)?; What is the nutritional status of the learners before and after the implementation of the school based feeding program based on the BMI?; Is there a significant difference between the nutritional status of the learners before and after the implementation of school feeding program based on the BMI; Is there a significant relationship between the food being served in the feeding program and the nutritional status of the learners?; and what menu plan may be proposed based on the findings of the study?.
School-based feeding programs not only aim to increase energy intake but also increase consumption of micronutrients like iron, iodine and vitamin A. It required a minimum of 90 days, given that after that period, the beneficiaries should have significantly improved in nutritional status. Otherwise, the program should be continued until 120 days. If the nutritional status of the target participants failed to improve after 120 days, medical intervention should be done to address the potential presence of chronic illness (DOST 2014).

This study revealed that the supplementary feeding program have not proved to be successful in improving the nutritional status of the target population. Feeding programs are a very expensive nutrition intervention. Despite this, they have low coverage and disappointing result in terms of nutritional status.
The researcher also found out the frequency, percent and rank of the nutritional status of the learners during the mid-year end. It shows that majority which is 48 or 80 percent of the respondents belonged to the normal nutritional status, while 11 or 18 percent belongs to wasted nutritional status. Lastly, 1 or 2 percent is severely wasted. There was no significant relationship between the food being served in the feeding program and the nutritional status of the learners based on the mid-year end. It shows that the r - value is less than the critical value. Therefore, the decision is to reject Ho (null hypothesis), thus there is no significant relationship between the two variables. Hence, there is enough evidence to support that there is no significant difference between the beginning and the mid-year mean scores of the respondents.
