Abstract
Technology has made great inroads in the classroom over the past few years. Hardware ranging from smart whiteboards to tablets is a common sight in schools and software like Google Classroom, Google Drive and Khan Academy continue to perforate everyday learning. And that's great- especially as teachers are drawn to using technology more regularly and in more collaborative ways. However, technology has a long way to go before being used to its full effect and teachers continue to dictate the nature of learning. The real use case for technology in the classroom is still evolving and as such, improvements in learning outcome for students are yet to be provenThe study determined the level of Technology-Based Cooperative Learning Structure and the academic performance in Araling Panlipunan of Grade Six students in selected schools in Caloocan North Districts I, II and IV during the school year 2017-2018. The researcher employed research questionnaires for the insights and experience of 30 Araling Panlipunan teachers of Grade Six and for the identification of the general average of the students' scores in their periodical tests.

The study concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning

structure in terms of positive interdependence, face-to-face promotive interaction, individual accountability, social skills and group process were highly observed. The academic performance of Grade Six pupils in Araling Panlipunan based on their periodic examination was satisfactory. It was also found out that there was a weak but significant relationship between the academic performance of pupils and the teachers' assessment on the implementation of cooperative learning structures. Among the challenges encountered by the teacher respondents, the lack of knowledge or information and communication technology (ICT) skills topped the list. With these findings, the researcher came up with a proposed prototype daily lesson log (DLL) which aimed to incorporate ICT in the education system of teaching Araling Panlipunan to drive to very satisfactory evaluation for the students. Thus technology, in this sense, serves as a positive reinforcement to children to let their studies become more sensible for the young ones and at the same time, relatable and comprehensible. It was advised the need to replace few traditional activities with technology-based ones to empower the students to connect to the class even at home or studying remotely.
