Abstract
This study attempted to determine the stress and coping mechanism of parents of children with autism of public school Caloocan elementary school central sped center, Cecilio Apostol elementary school sped center and Maypajo elementary school. Likewise, this study aimed to contribute empirical data on the contemporary circumstances on the issues of autism and come up a proposed program to parents for effective and efficient management of children with autism. Specifically, this study answered the following:
1. What are the demographic profiles of the parents of children with autism?
2. which among the stressors is the most stressful experience among the parents of children with autism?
2.1 Sibling relationship
2.2 financial concern
2.3 reaction form society
2.4 peers in school
2.5 behaviors of children with autism
3. what are the coping mechanisms of the parents of children with autism in relation to the different stressors?
4. How do different stressors compare according to the parent's experiences?
5. what program can be proposed based on the findings of the study?

This study used the descriptive method research with the survey questionnaires as techniques in gathering data. Statistical treatment of data was undertaken through weighted mean and verbal interpretation according to the specific problem posited.
