The purpose of this study was to determine the study habits and attitudes of Grade V pupils and how these correlate with their academic performance in english

Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the pupil respondents in terms of

1.1 Age

1.2 Gender

1.3 Birth order

1.4 Number of Siblings, and

1.5 Family Income
2. What are the study habits and attitudes of Grade V pupils in terms of

2.1 Time Management

2.2 Environment and Concentration Study, and

2.3Test Taking/Preparation Skills

3. What is the academic performance of the Grade V pupils in English in the 1" and 2nd Grading Period, S.Y. 2012-2013?

4. Is there a significant relationship between the study habits and attitudes and

the academic performance of Grade V pupils in English?

5. Is there a significant difference in the study habits and attitudes of the Grade V

pupils in English when grouped according to their profile?

6. What program maybe developed to improve the academic performance of Grade V pupils in English?
