Teaching Physical Education among Grade V pupils is indeed a challenging task. Physical education is important to promote physical activity, but many pupils are not active during physical education classes. Innovative instructional strategies are imperative to change this phenomenon, but it will be challenging to develop effective instructional strategies through understanding of students' physical activity in physical education settings. Teaching and learning Physical Education among Grade V pupils by implementing a creative symbolic play tool through tai chi approach is being proposed by the researcher.

The ages are almost evenly distributed in the different age group; 2) Majority of the teacher- respondents are female, with only one (1) respondent on the male gender, 3) The respondents have indeed invested years of their lives in the teaching profession. It might be safe to infer that their opinions and ideas are credible when it comes to teaching Physical Education; The indicators about the extent of acceptance of the Grade V PE teachers as to the integration of Symbolic Play through Tai Chi were arranged from highest to lowest mean result. Five of the indicators which have the highest mean results were presented below: a) I believe that symbolic play through tai chi is an effective strategy in teaching Physical Education subject; b) I am aware that symbolic play through tai chi is a creative tool in teaching Physical Education subject; e) I am confident in integrating Tai Chi in my PE classes; d) I use symbolic play through tai chi as a creative tool in teaching Physical Education subject; and e) I am willing to learn more about Tai Chi movements and skills. The one-on-one interview with the 7 Grade V PE teachers showed about the effect of the physical, emotional, social and mental benefits of Tai Chi on the pupils' well being. The teachers said also that it greatly helps in the teaching-learning process. As contribution of the study, A Proposed Action Plan is hereby recommended for adoption by PE teachers for the benefit of all stakeholders especially the pupils.
