Abstract
The study aims to assess the utilization of Information and Communication Technology ICT-Tools in Teaching Filipino 8. Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following questions: What are the topics in Filipino 8 for the Second Quarter of SY: 2018-2019 that may be subjected for the Utilization of ICT, What are the usual ICT Tools being utilized by the teachers, What is the mean scores of the Pre-test and Post test, Is there a significant difference between the pre-test and post test mean scores, What are the challenges encountered in the Utilization of ICT Tools, and What ICT monitoring tool can be crafted based on the findings of the study. This study is purely descriptive research, whereas it only describes the situation. The study used the whole population of the department with 40 Filipino and, master teachers and 1 Department head as the respondents, and 150 grade 8 students. The location of the study took place at Camarin High School. Based on the findings and conclusions of the study. The ICT tools are very useful in teaching and learning process because they make a certain discussion or instruction easier to understand and more interactive that may help learners to gain more academic excellence and performance. The researcher proposed the crafting of ICT Monitoring Tools inadequancy of the ICT Tools available for utilization in teaching Filipino.
