Abstract
This study highlights the research on different teaching strategies and facilitating skills of the teachers in engaging learners through the lesson, which should be part of a twenty-first century learning environment and encourage educators (teachers) to consider how these strategies and skills may play a role in their own teaching styles in the classroom. The different teaching strategies were categorized into three: 1.) Activating Strategies 2.) Cognitive Strategies and 3.) Summarizing Strategies. The activating strategies serve as the motivation of the lesson. The cognitive strategies used to present the topic of the lesson. And summarizing strategies is used to generalize the lesson. While, there are twelve facilitating skills that serves as the attributes of today's learners and for self-assessment of every educator. They were as follows: Oral and Written Communication, Critical thinking skills, Collaboration across Networks, Curiosity and Imagination, Initiative and Entrepreneurialism, Agility and Adaptability, Hope and Optimism, Self- Regulation, Empathy and Global Stewardship, Resilience, Grit and; Vision for the Future. With the help of different teaching strategies and facilitating skills, teachers will enhanced, improved and be more confident while teaching inside the classroom. Also, learners will learn best the lesson, boredom will disappear, and children will enjoy the activity. They will pay more attention and give interest into the lesson. Besides, if they are engaged into the lesson, they will show sustained behavioral involvement in learning activities and accompany it with a positive emotional manner. And what the researcher figures out is that, teachers should use a wide range of engaging strategies and then masterfully facilitate their skills in implementing education. The teaching strategies and facilitating skills will enable teachers to capture the interest of children as they learn the skills and concepts necessary for success in school and children also experience what it feels like to be engaged in learning-a lifelong gift.
